Have you ever wondered how others have more and how they got it? They have achieved personal s
uccess and middle ground. What is personal success? I want to share what I learned about it directly or indirectly from the book “Get What You Want and Want What You Have” by John GrayPersonal success is feeling good about your self ie who you are, what you have done, and what you have. It is within our grasp and we must clearly know what it is we want and set our intention to have it. I have used this practice John Gray teaches in his book, every morning and it changes how I look at life for the day. There will still be problems and challenges in life that will become easier to solve with new thinking. I have made many wrong turns, many challenges in life and suffered losses that make me appreciate what I have. I have learned from them all to overcome the emotional block, allow life to flow and trust the journey. Challenges become opportunities to make us more powerful, to learn from, to look for help and assistance. My health has been a challenge recently and in the process is making me feel more powerful. I can change the problems into lessons and the negative feelings in to positive feelings. I have always had the mindset of get back up and look for people who can help. I will keep looking until I find the help I need. That is personal success. Trust that you will have success with a positive attitude.
John Gray says the secret to personal success is to stay in touch with inner peace, love, joy, forgiveness, confidence while in the flow of life. When you are confident you can get what you want and it becomes a process that may take time. John Gray took 9 years to find himself and god, 9 years to attract what he wanted and then 9 years to achieve it beyond his dreams. We all want it overnight and right now. These are unrealistic expectations that drop away as you create a reality to attract what you want that is right for you.
Money can’t buy happiness and yes it helps to make life comfortable. This is when we get caught up in the illusion of life. The more we think money can make us happy we give away ou
r power to live without it. New ways of thinking are emerging and common sense is leading us to realize the paths of many all lead to the same place. We believe a person, job or money can make us happy and when that is achieved the opposite happens. Outer success gives the appearance of fulfillment to the outer world. Inner success achieves fulfillment by being and loving yourself. I achieved a life long dream of working in the mountains as veterinary technician. Yet I was miserable. The outer success was not my inner success. John Gray states Inner success + wanting more + process of getting more = waves of peace, joy, and confidence. This attracts more of what you want and you are happy having it. I worked through fears of the past and participated in take back the night with my voice to achieve great peace, joy and confidence. It was amazing and opened so many doors.
Unhappiness is darkness that we can turn on the light with in ourselves, with a mentor, leaving our comfort zone, reading books and training. Star Wars is a good metaphor. Darth Vader had outer success that cost his inner success. Luke had inner success that achieved outer success. There are people that are true to there heart and don’t have what they want. Then people on the other end that sell themselves for what they have. Balance is permission to want more. We do that by feeling our feelings good and bad to recognize they are there. Not running away from them achieves more personal success. Our resistance to something simple is an emotional resistance. We fight the process by seeing with our eyes not through our eyes. The absence of joy = unhappiness.
In summary, outward success people feel is having the car, house, boat, vacation home and wealth. Inward success is richness in life and feeling happy with the outward success. We must feel good inward to have the confidence to get what we want and then want what we have.
Personal success is achieved by waking up greatful, enjoying what you are doing and knowing where to take it to help others.
Mike Klingler developed a step by step process for people to gain confidence to grow. He talks about being authentic and give what it takes to succeed. The emotional element is impacted by results. The emotions are the strongest and biggest difference. You remember how someone made you feel.
