Blog or Website Building Tips
Filed under Renegade MarketerApr 15I wanted to share a little wisdom about creating a blog from my experience. At this point you are learning to market your business online and building a blog. If you are using the Renegade University system and following the step by step process it is pretty simple to get a blog up quick.
I made my first blog on squarespace with the step by step process instructed by Mike Klingler. Squarespace is easy and quick to use once you are acustumed to the site. Your blog can be up and running in a matter of hours. It is a little more expensive and less flexible if you want to keep the account.
I searched for other blog options to make sure I was getting the best deal. A good habit of mine is shopping for the best deal. I had heard a bit about wordpress and hostgator. I deceded to go with them because it was more flexible site building, email was included and less money. As I got started I had to figure my own way around. I became frustrated having to learn PHP to build my site. Wordpress was a bit more difficult, took more time and a steep learning curve. All I wanted was my site up and here I was having to learn code. Then Donna Wells told me to use Fantastico and this made worpress as easy as squarespace. Now I have the skills to write and read PHP. It makes building my blog even quicker.
Wordpress has a great forum to help answer questions. It was a resource I did not use until weeks into making my blog. They even have a section about introduction to wordpress. This is a great resource to use.
Another tip I want to give you if you are growing in the back office. Create a blog while you are creating an Ezine. Once the Ezine is ready to Publish you will need a website to put in the footer. Even if the blog is messy it will be a work in progress and it can be used to get your ezine up and running.
Good luck and have fun creating. I found it was like being in elementary school again with contruction paper and glue. As always I am here to help anytime feel free to call or email me.
var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-16692672-1']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);
(function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js'; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s); })();

These are tough times for most people, working to provide food on the table and a roof over your head.
A 20/20 news report “Life on the edge: the new homeless” with David Muir talks about how kids are affected in the companies downsizing.
In my community a University is possibly going to have to lay off staff, and a veterinary scientific company is laying off people since customers do not have extra money for their pets.
Another 20/20 Life on the Edge news report of a Hedge fund income gone from $750,000a year to $7.29 an hour pizza delivery.
All of these have an effect on family and kids. Parents are working hard to get creative so they can keep food on the table and a roof over their head.
I’m here to provide some hope. The internet provides some options to follow dreams or just put food on the table.
Christopher Hughes is a college student marketing online to help with tuition. Young people are becoming just as creative as parents for generating income. These are skills Christopher will use even after college. He is also creating new relationships to last a lifetime.
I’m going to a new kind of University, like Christopher, for self growth and dream growth. A step by step process to market online and generate income while putting food on the table. I am creating real estate in the online market.
While so many companies and industries are struggling, the internet is thriving and creating a community of people to help each other.
If you are struggling come join the online community for help in ways you never imagined.

I heard a story in the news Wednesday morning of a miracle surgery. A 7 year old girl had a baseball size tumor in her small intestine. The McNamara family found a Dr Kato in NY to perform a 23 hour surgery. They took out 6 organs, froze them, and put them back in. The mother said ‘for everyone with illness and children with illness’ the girl cut in ‘there is hope’. The family went to lots of doctors before they found one to listen. I wanted to share this story of hope and persistence.
Persistence in the Webster’s Dictionary means: to continuing in the face of opposition
This is true in finding an ethical home business or prospects for your business.
Persistence: To fight for what you believe in.
To make new relationships to help others.
To shut out the negative thoughts in the world and only keep positive ones.
To keep making calls, marketing, and listening
To find a business with integrity and fortuitiveness
Hope in the Webster’s Dictionary means: a feeling that what is wanted will happen.
You are seeking out a home business or new way to market because of hope.
Hope: To own your own time
To spend time with family
To enjoy the money you make
To make a difference in peoples lives
Persistence was very important for the McNamara family to over come a health obstacle. There were steps each day to reach the goal and hope of crossing the finish line. Why not treat your home business the same way.
