I recently went to a local networking 101 and social media seminar that helped pull everything together that I had been learning the last 5 years. These are basic elements of online or offline business people forget or never learned.
When people go out to network they may believe it will rain customers on them became they were ‘networking’. They go to pitch their business and what you should do is share information to be credible. The goal in networking for business is to get one on one’s so you can share your business and grow.
It is good to have a plan and try out several networking groups until you can find one that fits you. It also need s to fit into your time schedule and make sure you know how much time you can devote. There are groups for moms, business, leads, and many more so find the right group the fits your business. I recommend going a couple times to see if the fit works. The first time you are new and uncertain. The second time you have and idea and can have more of a plan. As you go to several you will get a feel for what is right to you.You also want to prepare an elevator speech, even if it is online marketing because you may find someone looking for online help. It may take time to get the speech that fits you so play around until you find it. The same thing goes for your brand or USP (Unique Selling Position). Narrowing your brand will help identify your elevator speech.
These same techniques apply to social media as well. The only difference is you will make profiles on various sites with your brand. People connect with you and you connect with them through the internet to create a web or funnel to build relationships.
Once contact is made at a networking event you want to follow up with the person 24-48 hours after. Any longer than that and they forget what you talked about. You want to remind them of what you talked about and propose a place to meet one on one.
In time you will become a seasoned networker showing others how to do the same in their network marketing business.

I know we all love having the day off of work for Labor day. We all love the 3 day weekend to camp, fish, BBQ, spend time with family and friends. What is labor day all about and how did it get started?
Many of us know the day was dedicated to the labor people that worked hard days and hours. I did not know it also saved children laborers, created the weekend and the holiday Labor Day we all know today.
The history channel has a great video series on Labor Day. It is worth the 5 minutes to listen to the one on The History of Labor Day. I provided it below.
Labor Day: History of Labor DayMany people came to this country to follow their dreams, be entrepreneur, and create a better life then the one they came from. That is still the reason so many people come to this country today and why so many people are looking to work on the internet from home.
I found a great community in Marketing Merge and Renegade University where you can grow your Entrepunure Sprit. We would love you to join us.

These are tough times for most people, working to provide food on the table and a roof over your head.
A 20/20 news report “Life on the edge: the new homeless” with David Muir talks about how kids are affected in the companies downsizing.
In my community a University is possibly going to have to lay off staff, and a veterinary scientific company is laying off people since customers do not have extra money for their pets.
Another 20/20 Life on the Edge news report of a Hedge fund income gone from $750,000a year to $7.29 an hour pizza delivery.
All of these have an effect on family and kids. Parents are working hard to get creative so they can keep food on the table and a roof over their head.
I’m here to provide some hope. The internet provides some options to follow dreams or just put food on the table.
Christopher Hughes is a college student marketing online to help with tuition. Young people are becoming just as creative as parents for generating income. These are skills Christopher will use even after college. He is also creating new relationships to last a lifetime.
I’m going to a new kind of University, like Christopher, for self growth and dream growth. A step by step process to market online and generate income while putting food on the table. I am creating real estate in the online market.
While so many companies and industries are struggling, the internet is thriving and creating a community of people to help each other.
If you are struggling come join the online community for help in ways you never imagined.
